Geocache Description:

Here you will find the lower and larger of two cataracts along Glen Alpine Creek.  These falls typically rage and roar in springtime, but are reduced to a mere trickle by the end of summer.  No matter the time of year, however, this spot is worth a visit.  Traffic and tourists can be a bit overwhelming here at times, though, so be prepared to exercise some stealth when making the grab.

The original cache at Glen Alpine Falls was placed in 2010 as part of the annual South Tahoe GeoCaching Event, but through being moved all around GZ by cachers and muggles alike, the originial container sustained significant damage and eventually went missing all together. Now the waters are flowing again and the Lower Falls cache is back in action.  A new container in a new location with plenty of room for trackables and all sorts of geoswag.  It's not far from where you may have found the original, but hopefully more secure and a little more secretive.
