At this spot you are smack in the middle of Beverly Swamp, one of the largest swamps in southwestern Ontario.
Cache is placed with permission of landowner. Parking available across the road. Cache is a small pill bottle. Occasional muggle.
The 7000 acre Beverly Swamp is dominated by water. Sixty percent is held in private ownership by 114 landowners and depends on "good land stewardship" for its health. Streams that flow through drain into both Lakes Erie and Ontario. Silver maple, cedar and aspen swamps, treed bogs, cattail marshes, sedge meadows and open ponds all occur and support many plants and animals, including many rare species.
A short walk south of the parking area brings you to the beautiful Spencer Creek gurgling its way south to fall over the escarpment at Dundas.
Clue is in the title.
