Since Port Elizabeth is near the wonderful Addo Elephant Park and the event is taking place so close to Christmas, I thought it would be fun to have a geocaching "white elephant" event. What is a geocaching "white elephant" event you ask? Well, it is sort of an American tradition for parties held near Christmas that allows people to give and receive inexpensive gifts.

We will have the geocaching theme for our white elephant. This means, attendees to the event are asked to bring "gifts" that can be traded in a cache, a new cache box ready to be placed, an unactivated travel bug or anything else that a geocacher would love to receive as a gift to cache with in 2008! Please, there is no need to break the bank, just something fun and that we can all receive a gift and get to know each other a little better. Note: I will bring a few extra gifts in case some feel they are can't bring and still want to participate in the exchange. The event will take place in the grass area of Happy Valley on Sunday afternoon. Let's make the time 2pm so we can all get back to families and activities that evening. Event should not last more than an hour, unless we want to hang out longer! Hope to see lots of gifts and smiling faces.
