Le pic de l'Aigle marque la bordure occidentale de la Chaîne du massif du Jura. Du haut de cette marche vous contemplez la région des lacs à l'Ouest, et les sommets de la Haute Chaine à l'Est, et même le Mont Blanc. Non loin se dressait autrefois une imposante forteresse médiévale, dont Xavier de Montépin, dans son roman "Le médecin des pauvres", imagina la prise d’assaut par le capitaine Lacuzon.
The Eagle Peak marks the western edge of the Jura mountains. From this walk you contemplate the lakes to the west, the highest peaks to the east, and even Mont Blanc. Nearby once stood an imposing medieval fortress, Xavier Montépin in his novel "The doctor of the poors", imagined the storming by Lacuzon captain.
