Geocache Description:

Wyndygoul was a 120 acre estate named by Ernest Seton when he bought it in 1900. He sold it to Maurice Wertheim. When Wertheim died, his 3 kids were each left a 1/3 portion. 1 became a famous author and when she died, her 40 acres went to her 3 kids. A fight ensued. 1 wanted to hold onto it, but the other 2 wanted to sell it. The court ordered it divided and the 2 sold their 2/3 to the Town. It's now part of Pomerance, which was also sold to the Town by another of Wertheim's kids.

This Halloween-themed "ghoulish" cache (our first cache!) is a medium-sized Rubbermaid "lock-it" container located in a very cool portion of the Pomerance property. Enter the Pomerance property from Orchard Street (there is a small but well marked parking lot) between dawn and dusk. Stick to the main gravel/paved path/road to the lake and then left up the old estate driveway.
