The Lonely Train Spotter was originally a letterbox placed here by myself over 30 years ago, I think under the very rock the cache is now under. The letterbox was on site for about 5 years. If memory serves me right I then got into cycling and other pursuits. Here I am 30 years later rediscovering Dartmoor and enjoying Geocaching.
The cache is large enough for 'bits & bobs' to exchange and at time of placing is well stocked with: 2 toy trains, plastic soldier, pen torch, belt clip, whistle etc. This is a dog friendly cache with various treats which I will endeavour to keep stocked up. There is also a £2 coin for FTF and a TC and 2x TB's.
I hope you enjoy the cache and the area, there are lots of caches nearby to visit also. Parking is on the Yelverton-Princetown road for quick access.
