Geocache Description:

This is the first in a series of five "Library" caches placed within the Brant County area. The above coordinates will take you to a location OUTSIDE the library. The information gathered here will lead you to a specific section INSIDE the library using the "Dewey Decimal System." You must sign the logbook to get credit for this find, BUT PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE PAGE BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS GEOCACHE. We hope you enjoy your geocaching experience as you visit our Library Series.

"Libraries are starting places for the adventure of learning that can go on whatever one's vocation and location in life. Reading is an adventure like that of discovery itself. Libraries are our base camp." - James H. Billington

The Paris Branch at 12 William Street, Paris, Ontario, was founded as a public library in 1902 with a grant from Andrew Carnegie. Visitors to the branch can see many original Carnegie architectural features including oval windows, ornamental cornices and the original exterior façade which faces William Street.

This is a 3.5/2.5 rated geocache, so . . . YES, YOU HAVE A LITTLE WORK TO DO TO FIND IT, but that's half the fun of this multi-cache!

You should actually READ the cache page, so that you will be equipped with all of the necessary information needed for success!

USE THE COORDINATES ABOVE TO COMPLETE STAGE 1 . . .

STAGE 1 - You are looking for a whizbang at this location, and inside it you will find the hint for the final location of the geocache at this spot, and it is in the form of the "Dewey Decimal System."

When you find the information at STAGE 1, use the ADDITIONAL WAYPOINT below to get you to the correct entrance of the library. Once inside, look in that section of the library for the geocache.

FINAL STAGE . . . READ THE ADDITIONAL HINT BELOW. Have fun, and please use a great deal of stealth when retrieving and returning the cache! Please remember to trade up or trade even, and replace the container exactly as you found it!
