Geocache Description:

Our annual camping meet has moved
to the seaside - Brean Sands, Somerset.
This year we are going back to our Wild West theme,
so dig out those spats and tomahawks.
Book the date in your diaries for:
"Going Wild in the Wild West "
NOW!

Essential dates for your diary
21st to 23rd June 2013
Unfortunately we have not been able to book our usual venue at Cheddar due to the site being closed for refurbishment but we think that we have found another super site at Brean. So this year we have booked in at Diamond Farm Caravan and Camping Park, situated in the heart of the beautiful Somerset countryside, yet only minutes from the glorious sandy beaches and the bustle of Brean and Burnham on Sea. The site is a well maintained level site and we have exclusive use of their rally field. There are  excellent facilities including modern heated toilets and washrooms/showers (small charge for showers), a small well stocked shop on site which provides basic groceries together with a cafe which caters for meals all day, a children’s play area with swings and slides, fishing in the river Axe which flows along the edge of the site for those with strange pastimes and access to walks along the riverbank and hopefully a few caches.  The site is easily accessible by road just a few miles from M5 junctions 21 or 22, and for those using public transport the nearest station is Weston-Super-Mare with buses from Weston-Super-Mare stopping at the park gates.
Unfortunately Diamond Farm do not offer any accommodation, but for those of you who do not like the idea of camping but still want to join in with all of the weekends activities there are plenty of options nearby at the various holiday sites and bed & breakfasts.

The obligatory BBQ will be held on the Saturday evening which will have a Wild West theme (start sorting out your costumes now) to which all smiley hunters are welcome. I will add details for this as we develop and formalise our plans, but do expect lots of silliness (muddy legs department).
Please bring your own food for the BBQ and if you can, a BBQ, although if you can't manage a BBQ there will be plenty around that you will be able to share.

If you intend to come to this event please can you log your intentions below, and please include whether you are camping, and if you would like electric hook-up. Electric hook-ups are very limited and will be allocated on a first come basis, if you do not state on your will attend log and/or your booking (when available) it will be assumed that it is not required.

The program is at a very early stage of development, but as it develops we shall add details

Wild West Geocoin

With much help from our friends at NE Geocaching supplies we now have an amazing new geocoin to offer all attendees to our event. The coin is a wooden wagon wheel and is available for £8.50 on pre-order for collection at the event and if there are any left they will be for sale at the event for £9.00. These geocoins are on a very limited run and once they're gone, they're gone; so to avoid disappointment get your orders in early. Orders are to be placed online at NE Geocaching Supplies by 16th June to guarantee your geocoin.
