Have you been to Black Mountain Peninsula lately? The picnic and barbeque areas have multiplied and there is new 'all-inclusive playground' being built for for all kids, including kids with physical and mental disabilities. It will feature play equipment that stimulates the visual, haptic (touch) and aural senses and will be the first of it's kind in Canberra. This is due to be completed in early 2013.
If find yourself bringing your family and friends here for a picnic and you need to work off those sausages you just cooked up for lunch, then go for a walk and find a geocache or 5! And check out that fun playground when it opens!
The cache is just a few metres off the bike path near a popular little fishing spot. It's a natural cammo so please be gentle and replace it securely and exactly where you found it. BYO pen and an extraction tool would be a good idea too.
