Located on Strauber Memorial Highway is a little known park in the making named Pasco Palms Preserve. This cache is near the end of it's primitive hiking trail. The only entrance to the park is on Strauber (see picture above) approximately 2/10 of a mile south of the entrance to Eagle Point Park. Coordinates for the entrance are N28 13.304 W082 44.924. Parking is available either at Eagle Point ($2 fee) or roadside (free) near the Pasco Palms entrance. Do not park roadside north of the guardrail as it posted "No parking on the right-of-way". The park is open sunrise to sundown and thus far there are no facilities. The path to this cache is roughly one half mile in length one way but seemed much shorter to me due to all the twists and turns encountered along the way. Long pants and insect repellant are recommended although I had neither, just a hat to swat the mosquitoes. You are searching for a small container with only a log, so BYOP. As usual, tree cover may affect your GPSr reading.
