This enormous coastline is made up of a group of beaches, each with its own feel. Nothing separates them except for imaginary lines, with wooden walkways taking you down its 30 kilometers, as does a tourist train during the summer. The most crowded beach is by Caparica town, and is therefore not recommended. Move south and you'll find more seclusion and better beach bars. Two favorites are Praia da Morena and Praia da Sereia, with young crowds filling their bars to see and be seen. The further you go the less crowded it gets, with Fonte da Telha being the favorite among those who don't like to wear anything. That's also a popular beach for kite and windsurfing, while Beach 19 before that is the unofficial gay beach. Further south is Meco, popular with young crowds and nudists. Unlike Cascais and Estoril west of Lisbon, this coast south of the city is not an international resort with grand hotels. It's mostly frequented by locals in the summer, and accommodation is mostly 2-stars, with only a couple of 4-star hotels.
Praia da Adiça - Praia naturista desde 2015 Costa de Caparica – Almada A praia da Adiça foi a oitava praia legalizada em Portugal para a prática naturista. Situada no Concelho de Almada apresenta uma envolvência de rara beleza Com a sua legalização Almada tornou-se no primeiro Concelho em Portugal com duas praias oficiais naturistas. A zona naturista começa 50 metros antes do final da estrada de terra e estende-se por 600 metros para Sul. Ao fim da descida de acesso à Fonte da Telha virar à esquerda e seguir até ao fim da estrada de terra. Transportes públicos: Autocarro até à Fonte da Telha. Utiliza o moovit para veres a oferta de transporte público. Acesso ao areal: Rampa com fraca inclinação Segurança: Praia não vigiada Estacionamento: Ao longo da estrada de terra junto à praia. Equipamento: Bar / Restaurante a cerca de 800 metros na zona têxtil Praia extensa de areia branca, dunas e mata com muita vegetação. Tem recantos idílicos, se explorar a falésia para Sul, um quilómetro ou mais. Três nascentes fornecem água que pode beber e se procurar também encontra argila. Nudismo há mais de trinta anos, numa mistura cordial de texteis e naturistas. Mar normalmente calmo, pouco vento, sol até muito tarde, é costume ver-se gente na praia até ao cair da noite.
