Midwest Geobash 2013 Mega-Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Midwest Geobash: Thanks to everyone who made this another successful event! All TBs were picked up by the end of the event, none were left with the event organizers. If you picked up a TB at the event, please makes sure to properly log it and keep it moving! Also, another popular question - the souvenir! Yes there is a souvenir, and you have to log your attendance for the day listed on the cache page (7/25/13) to get the souvenir. MWGB has no control over how that works, we just know that's how it works.

Stay tuned for info about next year, our 10th year!

WHEN: July 25-28, 2013
 watch listing
WHERE: Fulton County Fairgrounds - Wauseon, Ohio
WHO: Everyone is invited, we hope to see most of the 2000 or so attendees from 2012 become "repeat offenders".

Theme:Mardi Gras
Mascot:The Peacock

As usual there will be a campsite contest with the top three winning a GPS unit plus free 2014 camping and a number of honorable mentions who win free camping in 2014.

We will once again be coming back "home" to the Fulton County Fairgrounds in beautiful Wauseon, OH. The event will be held July 25-28, 2013.

The schedule is being reset and with this theme we will be doing a lot of fun activities. So stay tuned for more updates.

As always registration is free. We have TONS of onsite camping available for you to get the full on-venue three day experiece of bash. Of course, if you're from out of town (like trippy) or prefer a soft bed and a warm shower at the end of the day (like TMA and -Eleanor-), there are also several nearby hotels for the Hotel Gypsies to stay at. There will be many new caches in the area for next year for you to find while you participate in event activities.

Often imitated, but never duplicated - MWGB has become a must-do event in the Geocaching world since its inception as a casual camping gather in 2005 at Harrison Lake State Park in Ohio. In 2013 we're back in Fulton County Ohio near where it all started with our venue only miles from the original event location.
