This CHALLENGE is more fun with two people. Climbing gear is not required but may be beneficial: a good rope and a PDF is highly recommended. The cache is a concrete 'rock' visible when you reach the correct place. There will most likely be onlookers. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS IN HIGH RIVER FLOW RATES. Flow rates of < 20 are good >100 is bad.
The first part of this challenge is to get to the location which is accessible by foot (fording) in VERY low river flow rates (less than 40) or swimming if Flow rate is 40 to 80. Parking is no closer than 1/2 mile at a country road intersection. Access can then be by the walking path and crossing a recreational rail-trail. The second part is to mount the base of the concrete against the forces of the current. Thirdly climbing to the required elevation, [Wear the PFD while climbing. You will likely draw a crowd on the overlook from the rail-trail.] and back to the shore. Don't be afraid - this was placed (tree times) by an overweight 56 year old man.
