Geocache Description:

The co-ordinates will take you to the original Anglican Christchurch Cathedral site in Cathedral square but that is not where the cache is situated.

The Anglican Christchurch Cathedral has been devastated by earthquakes in Christchurch since September 2010, although it was the February 2011 earthquake that caused the most damage. During the June 13, 2011 earthquake the cathedral suffered even more damage.
That magnificient building, still fenced off in the Red Zone, is now being deconstructed and a few blocks away a temporary innovative-designed cathedral is being built out of cardboard tubing, timber beams, structural steel and a concrete pad. The design is based around 64 cardboard tubes, 830mm in diameter and ranging in length from 17- 22 metres, and should last for around 50 years. Ground work started for this new transitional cathedral on Tuesday 24 July 2012. For updates on construction please check out the webcam, thanks Andrew.

If you would like to find this cache please construct the "cardboard cathedral" below.

You are looking for a blue bison tube so there is no room for swaps. Please bring a pen.
