[LAT] Riebiņu pagastā atrodas muflonu dārzs. Tā ir iežogota medību teritorija, kurā sastopami mufloni un brieži. Medību dārzs ir privātīpašums, un slēpnis atrodas ārpus žoga, tāpēc, lūdzu, nekāpiet pāri žogam un necentieties iekļūt muflonu dārza teritorijā!
Muflonu dārzs atrodas Latgales augstienes Feimaņu paugurainē, skaistā, ainaviskā lauku apvidū. Bieži vien, braucot garām muflonu dārzam, iespējams redzēt ganāmies muflonu vai briežu barus, taču šī teritorija ir pietiekami plaša, tāpēc nav garantēts, ka mirklī, kad piebrauksit, dzīvnieki atradīsies klajā vietā jūsu apskatei. Esiet vērīgi!
Muflons ir savvaļas aita. Tiek uzskatīts, ka mufloni Viduseiropā dzīvojuši jau pirms leduslaikmeta. Mūsdienās mufloni ir sastopami Kaukāzā, Irākas ziemeļos un Irānas ziemeļrietumos, kādreiz tie apdzīvoja visu Mazāziju, Krimas pussalu un Balkānus, kur tie ir izmiruši jau pirms 3000 gadiem. Mufloni ir ļoti uzmanīgi, izturīgi un pieticīgi dzīvnieki ar izcilām gaļas īpašībām. Muflonu tēviņi sver ap 40 kg, tiem ir pamatīgi ragi, kas saritinājušies līdzīgi gliemeža čaulai, tāpēc tos mēdz saukt par gliemežiem. Mufloni bieži tikuši audzēti dižciltīgo ļaužu medību dārzos.
[ENG] There is a private hunting area in Riebini parish. In this fenced hunting area live moufflons and deer. Hunting area is private property, and cache is hidden outside the fence, so please, don’t climb over the fence and do not attempt to enter hunting area!
Hunting area is located in Latgale highlands Feimani pauguraine, it is hilly region with a beautiful, scenic rural landscape. Often, when passing hunting area, you can see deer or moufflons grazing, but this area is wide enough, so there is no guarantee that at the moment when you get there animals will be waiting for you. Be observant and look closely!
Moufflon is a wild sheep. It is believed that moufflon inhabited central Europe before the Ice Age. Today moufflon inhabit the Caucasus, northern Iraq, and northwestern Iran. The range originally stretched further to Anatolia, the Crimean peninsula and the Balkans, where they had already disappeared 3,000 years ago. Moufflon is very careful and modest animal, with excellent meat qualities. Moufflon males weight about 40 kg, they have big horns, which are coiled like a snail shell, so sometimes they are called snails.
