O Horto Florestal ocupa uma área que corresponde a um terço de Campos do Jordão; são 8340 hectares e é o Parque Estadual mais antigo do Brasil. Uma das maiores reservas de árvores coníferas de São Paulo.
No Parque existe uma infinidade de atrações para o lazer e para relaxar. Bosques para pic-nic, trilhas, lanchonetes, capela, arborismo, trenzinho, viveiro de plantas, e, se tiver sorte, verá uma variedade de pássaros e borboletas ao longo das trilhas.
Tudo é muito bem sinalizado e com placas educativas em favor do meio ambiente.
É um passeio para um dia inteiro, tanto para adultos, como para as crianças.
Você poderá ver também uma serraria dentro do Horto Florestal, que é movida por uma antiga roda d'água e tudo isso em meio a muito verde e muitas flores.
Esta trilha tem 2,6 km (ida e volta) e é considerada difícil. Proporciona a visão de lindas paisagens típicas de Campos do Jordão.
Há 4 caches ao longo da trilha. Este segundo cache permite que você tenha um pouco de contato com a floresta. Para isso, saia um pouco da trilha, atravessando uma pequena ponte sobre uma fonte.
O cache é um pote camuflado, de tamanho médio. Leve uma caneta.
The Forest Garden occupies an area corresponding to one third of Campos do Jordão (8.340 hectares) and is the oldest state park in Brazil. It’s one of the largest reserves of coniferous trees of São Paulo.
In the park there are plenty of attractions for leisure and relax. Forests for picnic, hiking trails, snack bars, a chapel, arborism, little train, greenhouse, and, if you’re lucky, you could see a variety of birds and butterflies along the trails.
Everything is very well signposted and there are signs in favor of the educational environment.
It is a ride for a whole day, both for adults as for children.
You can also see a sawmill in the Garden Forestry, which is driven by an old waterwheel. Everything is the surrounded by greenery and flowers.
This trail is 2.6 km (round trip) long and is considered difficult. It provides a vision of beautiful landscapes typical of Campos do Jordao.
There are four caches along the trail. This second cache allows you to have some contact with the forest. To do this, leave the trail for a while, crossing a small bridge over a fountain.
The cache is a camouflaged pot of medium size. Bring along a pen.
