Geocache Description:

LAT Slēpnis ir PET pudeles sagatave, kas satur viesu grāmatu un zīmuli.
ENG Cach itself is PET- bottle kit, contains only logbook and pencil.

Pirmā ar dēļiem apšūtā koka baznīca te bijusi uzbūvēta 1707. gadā. Otrā baznīca arī bijusi koka, ar salmu jumtu un mazu tornīti. Tad divu gadu laikā (1847. - 1848.) pēc arhitekta Helda projekta uzcelta mūra baznīca. Pie baznīcas kreisajā pusē atrodas vairākas apbedījumu vietas. Te apglabāts rakstnieks un mācītājs Jēkabs (Jākobs) Florentīns Lundbergs (1782. - 1858.), dzejnieks un ērģelnieks Ansis Līventāls (1803. - 1877.). Blakus baznīcai atrodas arī kapa vietas, kuros guldīti 1. Pasaules karā kritušie 219 vācu un 16 krievu karavīri.
 
Slēpni atrodas pie baznīcas žoga, to var paņemt gan no teritorijas ārpuses, gan iekšpuses. Teritorija nav slēgta, tajā var iet iekšā, lai apskatītu baznīcu, kapsētu un pieminekļus. Lūdzu, izturēties saudzīgi prêt kultūras un vēstures mantojumu!

First, the lagged boards and wooden church here was built in the 1707. year. The second church also had a wood, with thatched roof and a small tower. Then in two years (1847 - 1848) here was built stone church. At the church on the left side there are several burial sites. Here buried writer and pastor Jacob (Jacob) Florentine Lundberg (1782 - 1858), poet and organist Ansis Līventāls (1803 - 1877). Beside this place is the grave site, which laid directly the 1st World War I 219 German and 16 Russian soldiers.
 
Cach is located at the fence of church. It is possible to take a cache from outside and also from inside of church territory. The area is not closed, it is possible to go inside and look to the church, cemetery and monuments.  Please be careful to cultural and historical heritages!
