Flexagons are folded pieces of paper that can be flexed to reveal faces other than the original front and back. There are many different varieties of flexagons. The concept was discovered in 1939 by Arthur Stone, a British mathematician studying at Princeton. He and several of his friends (including Richard Feynman, who years later won the Nobel Prize in physics) formed an group to study these curiosities. This so called "Princeton Flexagon Committee" devised ways to make flexagons with up to 48 faces.
In order to find this cache, you'll need to construct (and flex) a trihexaflexagon, a relatively simple version that is 6-sided with three different faces.

You'll need scissors and a glue stick. First print this page, and follow these directions to build your flexagon. Once that's done, you'll need to 'flex' your flexagon to reveal information about the coordinates. The flexing technique is easier shown than described. Click on the 'Related Web Page' link above to see how it's done. Depending on which side of the flexagon you're looking at, you may or may not get useful information!
