Le château occupe un éperon rocheux dominant le village. Les premiers textes attestent de sa présence dès le XIIe s. Acheté en 1300 par les ducs de Bourgogne, il fut rasé à la Révolution. Les fouilles ont mis au jour une nécropole mérovingienne et les restes de la chapelle castrale, église paroissiale jusqu'au XVe s. Un sentier archéologique fléché sur le site de l'ancien château fort démoli évoque l'histoire du lieu tout en offrant un superbe point de vue sur la Côte de Beaune.
