[En] Lucas Electric was en brittish manufatcurer of electrical components. Cache contains logbook, pencil and a FTF price.
[Swe] Denna cache skall ses som en hyllning till Lucas elsystem och komponenter och dess grundare Joseph Lucas. Som stort fan av engelska bilar, framförallt Land Rover så korsas våra vägar allt för ofta. Det finns många galet roliga uttryck för att beskriva förträffligheten med Lucas elsystem. Här kommer några av dem, håll tillgodo:
- Lucas, mannen som uppfann mörkret.
- Lucas måtto: ”Åk hem innan det blir mörkt” .
- Lucas uppfinnaren av den första vindrutetorkaren med intervallfunktion.
- Lucas är patentägaren av kortslutningen.
- Lucas uppfinnaren av den första själv-dimmande lampan.
Det finns också en guide över säkringsbyten till Lucas system, se uppladdad bild. Men trots allt så har faktiskt Lucas Elsystem bidragit till en hel del nyutveckling och framsteg inom sin bransch. Enligt obekräftade källor så var man först i utvecklingen av:
- 12 volts elsystem till bilar.
- Bränsle insprutning.
- Låsningsfria bromsar.
Trots att våra, FilFels och Herr Lucas, vägar har korsats allt för ofta så skall det tilläggas att problemen oftast varit lätta att lösa och att systemen och komponenterna är lätta att underhålla. Ovan angivna koordinater anger en bra plats att parkera på.

[Eng] This cache is a tribute to Lucas Electric systems and components and its founder Joseph Lucas. As a big fan of English cars, especially Land Rover, or paths has been crossed to often. There are some funny expressions that describe the excellence of Lucas Electrics. Below some of them follows:
- Lucas, prince of darkness.
- The Lucas motto: "Get home before dark."
- Lucas is the patent holder for the short circuit.
- Lucas - Inventor of the first intermittent wiper.
- Lucas - Inventor of the self-dimming headlamp.
- The three positions Lucas switch - Dim, Flicker and Off.
- The Original Anti-Theft Device - Lucas Electrics.
- Lucas is an acronym for Loose Unsoldered Connections and Splices.
There is also a “Guide to fuse replacement” picture, look in uploaded pictures. Since this should be a tribute to Lucas, we also have to mention that Lucas Electrics has contributed to a lot of development within automotive electrics. According to unconfirmed sources Lucas led the development of:
- 12 volt electrical systems for cars.
- Fuel injection.
- Anti-lock brakes.
