Geocache Description:

Church Micro 2147 - St. Mary The Virgin, Belchamp Walter

St Mary's is a Grade 2* listed building lying at the south east end of the village in an area of outstanding scenic beauty. Built of brick and flint, the oldest parts date from the early 14th Century. The church is home to a number of outstanding medieval wall paintings dating from the early 14th Century. In addition the eastern wall of the Sancturay contains a fine tiles Victorian reredos, the front of the altar and the pulpit are adorned with paintings by G W Brownlow and the tower houses a fine peal of eight bells now adapted for chiming.

This is a small 'vile' type cache so you may want to bring tweezers to get the log out. Also, don't forget to BYOP!

This cache can also be incorporated into the Bulmer - Belchamp Walter Circular between #3 and #4 and only requires a detour of a few metres!

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
