GeoB3A: I would like to thank all the cachers that have found this geocache of mine. Unfortunately it has gone missing and I haven't been active enough in geocaching to replace it an keep it active. I don't want to tie up this location, hopefully there will be a new cache in the vicinity someday in the future. Sorry to anyone that had an unsuccessful search for this Dino, or for anyone that was planning on hunting it.

Geocache Description:

In honor of my son’s fascination, and incredibly vast knowledge of prehistoric animals (you might even call it an obsession), I have created this series of dinosaur caches.  My goal is to eventually place a cache for a dinosaur of each letter of the alphabet. Yep, there are dinosaurs that start with the letters X,Y, & Z. 

The Apatosaurus was a sauropod dinosaur that lived over 150 million years ago in the Jurassic Period.  It was one of the largest land animals to ever walk the earth. They were considered similar to the Brontosaurus, but paleontologists later discovered that they were in fact the same dinosaur.  Since the Apatosaurus was discovered first, its name stuck around, while the name Brontosaurus became obsolete.  The Apatosaurus was a herbivore that weighed about as much as four elephants!  Imagine the amount of vegetation that he had to eat to grow that big.
 
This cache is hidden in a patch of trees surrounding the Wheaton Branch Storm water Management Pond off of Dennis Ave. Here is a link to the pond http://www.fosc.org/SWMap7.htm . Your best option for parking would be along Dennis ave or on one of the neighboring side street.  Keep in mind this is a residential area...be respectful. You can follow the path back to the woods across from the pond.  You will likely see plenty of geese and possibly some deer in the vicinity.  Please bring along a trash bag and help the area with a little CITO.

The cache is a small lock n lock. Please be gentle when you are closing it and place it back as you found it.  There is not much room for anything other than the log.  BYOP as there is no writing utensil here.  I left a Dino pathtag for the FTF.
