THE WALK: A clockwise walk of around 3.5 miles around the Parish of Hennock including some of its mining heritage comprising of 17 relatively low-stealth Geocaches, over a mixture of forest walks, the Village and Pub, a muddy and rocky trail and a quiet country lane. Some nice views across the Teign Valley to Haldon. Most caches have space for plenty of swaps but few initially placed.
GOING: Parts of this walk will be muddy, steep and hard going.
PARKING: Free limited parking Waymarked from #1 and #8, as well as on-street parking in the Village.
SUITABILITY: Dogs (there are no stiles!) and older kids fine, but keep control of both! There are some uncapped mineshafts away from the paths in Beadon Copse. Much of this path will be very unsuitable for wheelchairs or prams, although some individual caches can be grabbed from the road.
CACHES: All sites comply with Dartmoor's Geocaching Code as well as the Forestry Commissions' Guidelines. At no point do you need to take more than four steps from the public footpath or road. Most are "Small" sizes, with a few Film Pots only where necessary.
