A cache with an excellent view of Rawnsley Bluff.
Owl has been coming to Rawnsley Station on the June long weekend for twenty years so Eagle can participate in the University of Adelaide Gliding Club Wave Soaring Camp. This year Owl and Raven discovered geocaching and the weekend had a whole new excitement that needed to be commemorated in a cache.
This lookout has wonderful views of Rawnsley Bluff and most long weekends a gliding club from somewhere will have planes taking advantage of the updrafts around the Bluff. If you are here on the June long weekend one of those gliders will probably hold Eagle. Owl and Raven will be off caching somewhere.
This cache is in plain view from most angles, so will require stealth if any muggles are in the area. Please retrieve and replace gently, as maintenance is only possible once a year.
The cache starts with bird stickers. There is only room for very small swaps.
Sat Loc in the area can be variable. If you fail with the posted coordinates try S 31 36.706, E 138 39.124 (thanks to pkhearn) or S31 36.714 E138 39.122 (my origininal coordinates). Thanks to gmj3191 for the current cache coordinates.
