This is our first series in France, having been active in England until the end of 2011. We also have three other individual caches not far from here.
Villardonnel is one of many small villages in the Black Mountain. There are some excellent and interesting walks in the area and the route of this series generally follows one of these. The terrain varies over the course of the 4.5 kilometre distance, with an overall height change of about 130 metres. Most of the route uses footpaths but there are short stretches on quiet roads and it crosses the Mazamet road in two places.
The series starts at a car park (N 43 20.016’ E 2 18.861’) just outside the village centre. From there you walk along the Route De Salsigne, towards the village, passing the small school on the left and turning left again onto Chemin de Rivals. The route brings you back to the car park in a figure of 8 pattern. There is a map attached, showing the overall route.
Some of these caches can be done as Cache and Dash but overall this series is designed as a circular walk, taking about an hour and a half.
For background information about the village of Villardonnel, the Mairie has a useful website http://www.mairiedevillardonnel.net/. The Mairie (N 43 20.110’ E 2 18.749’) provides, free walking maps of the area.

Il s'agit de notre première série en France, après avoir joué un rôle actif en Angleterre jusqu'à la fin de 2011. Nous avons également trois autres caches individuelles non loin d'ici.
Villardonnel est un des nombreux petits villages de la Montagne Noire. Il ya quelques excellents, promenades intéressantes dans la région et la route de cette série suit généralement un d'eux. Le terrain varie au cours de la distance 4,5 km, avec une variation de la hauteur totale d'environ 130 mètres. La plupart de la route utilise sentiers, mais il ya de courts tronçons sur des routes tranquilles et il croise la route de Mazamet à deux endroits.
La série commence dans un parking (N 43 20.016 'E 2 18.861') juste à l'extérieur du centre du village. De là, vous marchez le long de la Route De Salsigne, vers le village, en passant la petite école sur son départ et en tournant encore à gauche sur Chemin de Rivals. La route vous ramène au parking dans un modèle en forme de 8. Il ya une carte jointe, montrant la route ensemble.
Certains de ces caches peut être fait que du Cache et Dash mais dans l'ensemble cette série est conçue comme une promenade circulaire, prenant environ une heure et demie.
