Cerro Ventana
El Cerro Ventana forma parte es un conjunto montañoso situado al sudoeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires en la República Argentina.
Origen
Se originaron en la Era Terciaria. El cerro Ventana tiene una altura de 1136 msnm
Las rocas precámbricas que constituyen el basamento cristalino de estas sierras, son las más antiguas conocidas en el mundo, con 2200 millones de años. La orogénica hurónica fracturó las rocas precámbricas preexistentes: granitos, granodioritas, anfibolitas, las que posteriormente sufrieron los efectos de una intensa acción mecánica. Esta acción mecánica (lluvia, viento) dio lugar al hueco, que antiguamente era la entrada a una cueva hoy derrumbada.
Cómo llegar al Hueco de la Ventana?

Existe un desafío para todo aquél que recorra la comarca: subir hasta la famosa ventana y mirar todo desde allá arriba. Para lograrlo hay que sortear un sendero con 10 estaciones.
El 10 nunca fue un número fácil. Allá, a lo lejos, se ve un cartel cuesta arriba y hay que volver a trepar piedra por piedra. A su lado, una de las obras más maravillosas que ha realizado la naturaleza en esta región: una ventana que permite apreciar la belleza de toda la comarca con tanta simpleza y magia que les demuestra que valió la pena subir hasta aquí arriba.

Recomendaciones
Hay que llevar calzado cómodo o zapatos de trekking, medias, pantalón tipo jogging, remera, un abrigo liviano o polar, gorro, lentes de sol y, si hace frío, el equipo puede completarse con un buen par de guantes. Dentro de una pequeña mochila no pueden faltar algunas barritas de cereal, una o dos botellas de agua mineral.
Estar en la estación de Guarda Parque temprano para registrar el ascenso. A la hora 13, un guarda parque en el lugar, hace que comience el descenso. Tiempo total de la excursión: 6 a 7 horas.

How to arrive to the Hole of the Window?
A challenge exists for everything person that the district travels: to ascend until the famous window and to look at everything from there up. To arrive it is necessary to draw a path with 10 stations.
The 10 were never an easy number. There, you can see a poster in the distance, it costs up and it is necessary climb stone for stone again. To their side, one of the most wonderful works that has carried out the nature in this region: a window that allows to appreciate the beauty of the whole district with so much simplicity and magic that it demonstrates them that it was worthwhile to ascend until here up.
Recommendations
It is necessary to take comfortable footwear or trekking shoes, stockings, pant type jogging, rower, a light or polar coat, cap, eyeglasseses of sun and, if it is cold, the team can be completed with a good couple of gloves. Inside a small backpack they cannot lack some cereal bars, one or two bottles of water mineral. Total time of the excursion: 6 at 7 hours.
