GeocacheAlaska! Presents: "Geocaching, the TOTT, don't forget your nogg'in!"
Meet fellow geocachers and learn all about the world of Geocaching Tools on Thursday, June 21, beginning at 6:45 p.m., at the BP Energy Center, 900 E. Benson Blvd. (Click for map.)
Tonight's presenters are Scott Sagraves and Lisa Echard. We welcome fuzzybelly and FlightRiskAK to the podium, where they will deliver a fast-paced presentation on Geocaching Tools of the Trade (TOTT) that is perfect for both new and old Geocachers.
Expect a lively performance by this month's hosts who will demonstrate a wide variety of TOTT that will help you find and retrieve even the most evil of cache placements.
Attendees are requested to bring their own TOTT items and share their field experiences about how you've used them.
This event will be carried live over the internet via WebEx!
Please post a "Will Attend" log on this event page to stay appraised of the final details. If we need to make any announcements about this event, all registered attendees will automatically receive an email copy of those announcements via the email you have registered with your Geocaching.com account. Adding a "Will Attend" log to this page will also assure enough hard copy handouts are printed for the event participants.
Please arrive on time so upfront administrative details can be handled and announcements made, allowing the course content to start precisely at 7:00 p.m. (or 1900hrs if you prefer). Also, please bring your favorite nonalcoholic beverage and a dessert to share with your fellow cachers.
There will be a free-will offering cache container at the event to help defray the costs of hosting these FUNdamentals events if you would like to make a donation.
The GeAK store will be Open
The GeAK Store will be available onsite immediately after the presentation. You may purchase items from our line of GxProxy gear as well as official GroundSpeak merchandise. The new 2012 GeAK Pathtag collection will be available in limited supply!
If you have requests for EduVent topics, have a topic that you would like to present to the Alaskan geocaching community, or would like to host future presentations like this one elsewhere in Alaska, please contact Education Committee Chair and GeAK WebMaster, SSO JOAT.
