This cache should be a nice quick find just off the Smaller Farragut Trail.
First cache on this new trail I found while running. Container is a normal sized lock and lock and should be easy to locate.
Very near the cache, you will find the decaying remains of what we assume is an information/service center that was once active on the Saw Mill Parkway. This spot has always intrigued me from my vehicle and it wasn't until I took a trip on foot that I found the trail. The building (across the Saw Mill River) is condemned, and we discourage exploring within the building. We just thought it was neat.
During the worst storms of the year the area near is prone to flooding, so CITO is also encouraged. Watch your step, Poison Ivy is in the area, but not directly at the cache.
The trailhead marker is at the posted waymark. However, it is easiest to locate the trail near the deadend of Curry road. A few stone steps and small field connect Curry road and Farragut Ave. Parking can be found a the posted way-point off the Farragut Parkway. You can also access the trail from the dead end of Curry Rd. After crossing the stream, take a left. The trail branches off, so stay on the trail that follows along the back of the houses.
