Number 16 in a series of 18 caches placed along public rights of way and bridlepaths on the East side of Nuneaton, Warwickshire, giving you a circular walk of approximately 6 miles long, with a short section on the towpath of the Ashby Canal. We have used a selection of different cache containers to keep you entertained.
Walking boots and suitable leg cover are advisable due to the varying terrain. There are a couple of long stretches across crop fields and at the time of placing the series, the rape was well above shoulder height. The walk is not suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs, buggies or bikes. Some of the paths can get very muddy and sticky after wet weather. Some of the caches will be fairly challenging, and some have a pencil, but you are advised to bring your own writing implement.
We hope you enjoy the walk and the caches. Suitable logs of your experiences are welcomed. Good luck and happy hunting!
This is called Paul's Ford according to OS maps, but known locally as Lady Bridge, or Ladybird Bridge. Our children used to play here many years ago. Dogs love it here too. You'll see fish in the water too. You are looking for a box in a camo bag containing a log and pencil with some small swaps.
