Geocache Description:

Welcome to Chief Joseph Dam and Rufus Woods Lake. There are several traditional geocaches at Chief Joseph dam that you can find. You can also join the 2 Geocache Challenges for some hide and seek fun!!

Three Dam Tour Geocache Challenge

Get a Passport from one of the 3 participating dams: Rocky Reach Dam, Chief Joseph Dam, and Grand Coulee Dam. To complete the challenge and receive a unique patch, cachers must fill their passport by finishing the geocache courses at all three dams. Cachers can visit the dams in any order.

In order to get a stamp in your passport for Chief Joseph Dam you must seek out at least 3 of the 5 caches. * Hydropower is the most efficient of electrical generation, converting 90% of available energy into electricity.

* Hydropower is a clean, reusable source of electricity. It produces no emissions and its fuel (water) can be used at each downstream dam.
