Geocache Description:

A geocache/letterbox hybrid along the Sligo Creek Trail in Silver Spring, MD. If you leave a geocoin within the container I will take it and place it in a letterbox somewhere in the Carolinas. PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION IF LEAVING A COIN

This is my first geocache/letterbox hybrid. It is along the Sligo Creek Trail, which is a nice, paved walking/jogging/bike trail in Silver Spring, Maryland, just north of Washington, DC.

THEME:

Anybody can have fun finding this geocache, but if you leave a geocoin within the container I promise to move it to a geocache somewhere in the Carolinas.

Coins or other small trackables only. Items must be under 1.5" diameter to fit in the container. Please do not leave anything else in the cache.
Please log your dropoff or send me a message to let me know I need to pick up the trackable.
This is an "in-only" cache. If you find a coin in the cache before I get a chance to pick it up, please leave it because the person who dropped it off was promised it would be taken to NC or SC.

LETTERBOXING:

Since this cache is also a letterbox, this cache is cross-listed at the Atlas Quest letterboxing website. For a change of pace you could try to find this cache without the aid of your GPS by just following the directions.

PARKING:

There's a nice little park with a playground on Sligo Creek Parkway just north of Dennis Avenue that would be an ideal place to park your car.
