Geocache Description:

The parish church of St Mary Bourne is St Peter's which has a long and varied history. If the church is open it is well worth spending a few minutes looking around at the the font and effigy. In the churchyard there is a stunning yew tree that must be many hundreds of years old. This geocache is not located at these coordinates, discover the information below and use the formula to reveal the final location.

To find the final location of the cache you have to solve the eight clues below. The answer to six of the clues can be found within the boundaries of the churchyard in various places. The answers to the other two are outside the boundary walls but can be easily seen from within the churchyard. None of the answers are within the church so there is no need to go inside. The churchyard extends a short distance behind and to the right where the answer to at least one of the clues can be found.

The final location of the cache can be found by entering the eight numbers you have found into the following formula...

N51 AB.CDE W001 FG.HJK

You are looking for a small container that contains a pencil and logbook but please bring your own in case it goes missing.

The final location and the journey to it is not really suitable for children or dogs. It is along a busy B road that has no footpaths so I advise using your geomobile to get there. Parking at the final location is in a small layby but please be careful and take care.

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
