Geocache Description:

A bit tricky to get to, as you will need your own boat, but that experience by itself should make the find worth its while! Majestic mountain cliffs diving into the fjord, fishing possibilities, view of a modern halibut farm and maybe even sightings of an eagle or two?

This impossible place, a wedge of rocks and some trees and grass straddled by 500-600 metre tall cliffs, is called Kjeurda ("Kid scree"). As the name implies, it was until recently used as a natural resource. Billy goat kids were brought here by boat in the spring and harvested in the autumn. The entire summer they could explore the place, but they could not get anywhere else.

Neither can you, so the only way of getting here is by using a light boat (or to swim ashore from a bigger boat). There is a mooring point right next to the cache.

The obvious big structure in the water right outside is a big, modern halibut farm. The sunk high rise installation includes 13 storeys full of resting halibut waiting to reach the connoisseur's plate around the world - including that of the main dish of Bocuse d'Or, the famous biannual world chef championships.
