ARR!!! thar' me maties!!! There will be a MOB of Pirates at the Lake Superior Marine Museum on Canal Park in Duluth, Minnesota.

You will need an eye patch as minimum pirate gear! The WWFM IX – Jolly Roger Style will take place rain or shine! Please put a "Watch Listing" on this cache. You will get the updates as they happened.

On Saturday, June 9, 2012, the 9th Geocaching WWFM Flash Mob will take place around the world. “WWFM”“Stands for “World Wide Flash Mob.” Thousands of Geocachers all over the world briefly come together for a 15-minute event. It all happens on the same day and at the same time. Most of the time when the mob together they do something silly and then disperse, vanishing with the wind. This leaves a lasting impression on others who are watching and wondering what just happened!

All types of Pirate paraphernalia are welcome and encouraged. Talking like a Pirate is also encouraged.

The Goal for this event are:

1. Meet at June 9, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Lake Superior Marine Museum on Canal Park
2. Every one put on your Pirate eye patch
3. Converge on the Treasure Cache
4. Sing the old traditional pirate song (words provided)
4. Group picture
5. To do it all in 15 minutes


Do not show up prior to 12:00! Wander around nearby and "act normal" but not at the site. For the Flash Mob to have its full effect, we must appear to come from nowhere and disappear just as quickly. The event must begin precisely at 12:00 NOON Central Daylight Time (NOON, Wichita GPS Time) on Saturday, June 9th. At exactly NOON, rush to the posted coordinates with your banners, signs, gps receivers held up high, etc.

At precisely 12:15 PM, disperse! and the event officially will be over. Hide your banners; lower your signs; put away your gps receivers; and quickly leave the area. This is how a Flash Mob works.
