urban_dwellers: Not going to get out here anytime soon. So letting this one go. It lasted a little over 10 years.
If we ever get back out here and there's nothing here yet maybe we'll put a new one in. But in the meantime we're closing this one down.

Geocache Description:

This cache is named after the smell you'll experience at the cache location on a hot day.


We have placed this cache right next to the trail. You don't need to go tromping on the vegetation. Please place it back as you found it -- maybe even a little better? It is a quart sized container with camo tape on the outside and some swag on the inside. And a little $ for FTF.

We got here by driving past the Ranger gate (free on a weekday) at Dixon Lake and turning left onto Primitive Road. Go down and across the bridge and park up in the big area where the horse trailers park. Grab a map as you step through the gate if you need one.

Bring water, something to write with, and in case of an emergency a cell phone; there are dangerous critters out here and the path is anything but smooth and even. Be sure to also bring info on the other caches along the way and in the area so you can make it a more productive hike. And check out Frank's Daley Ranch Roundup Challenge.
