Cache replaced 12/26/14 and again on 5/22/15 and again on 7/7/18 and again on 6/28/19 and again on 5/7/20 and again on 6/13/20. Cache is a medium tin container located just outside Charles Eccher Park (aka Lowland Park) in Stony Point, NY. Eccher Park has a small baseball field, basketball courts, grills, playground, picnic tables, and horseshoe pits.
Charles Eccher Park (Lowland Park) was basically washed away during Hurricane Irene in August 2011. Pond Brook swelled from 20' wide to over 200' wide engulfing the park. With the help of many volunteer Stony Pointers, the park has been rebuilt and cleaned up. The park is a hidden treasure and Pond Brook offers great scenery. Check out the cool historical chunk of 1922 metal in the park as well. Enjoy the cache, it's Kevin's first, and keep our park clean ! Recently (2017/2018) trees were planted by the Hudson Estuary Trees for Tribs.
