Geocache Description:

Quick little P & G.

When you arrive at GZ.. you will be facing the site of a ghost appearance that has been reported for over 125 years... this ghost appears in a flash of lightning from a cloudless sky... It is believed to be the result of a tragedy that occurred in 1875.... During that time there was a Hotel that sat on this property, called the "Virginia House"... since there were no dining cars on the passenger trains... travelers would venture across the street to the Hotel... the owner actually had a bridge built across the muddy road from the train station to the second story of the Hotel... Well... the hotel also kept monthly boarders.. and one of those residents was a railroad brakeman who lived there when in town. While staying there, he met and fell in love with a Bristol girl. He was so in love with her and they planned a mid Spring wedding... As the wedding was approaching, the brakeman returned to the Hotel sometime in March following a regular run... It was then that he learned his love had eloped with another man.... He was so distraught and heart broken, that he went straight to his room.. he was not seen again until the next morning when the hotel cook was crossing the bridge to work and found him hanging from the bridge... since that time, he has been seen in a bolt of lightning flashing down from the cloudless sky onto what is now Martin Luther King Blvd. directly between GZ and the train station.... So you should be safe standing there... cuz "lightning never strikes the same place twice"... RIGHT? Now, get out there and play!!! :)
