Kratka historicka multina

Tato kratka multicache pripomina uspech protifasistickeho odbojoveho hnuti, kdy se podarilo (krome dalsich jinych uspesnych diverznich akci) vyhodit do vzduchu nemecky vlak vezouci naklad munice.

Den 18. duben (1945) byl v historii podzemniho odbojoveho hnuti na Hranicku dnem uspechu i tragedie. Po trati z Valasskeho Mezirici do Hranic byly dirigovany municni vlaky z Povazske Bystrice. O jejich prujezdech podavala organizaci CLAY-EVA zpravy hradlarka Marie Skypalova, snoubenka Oldricha Smolky z Lesne Lhotky. Jejich nicenim byla poverena skupina Karla Bartonka z Kladerub a Oldricha Smolky z Lesne Lhotky. Obe skupiny dostaly vetsi mnozstvi ekrazitu k priprave nalozi. Bartonkova skupina mela znicit municni vlak u skalni soutesky vychodne od Cernotina, zatimco Smolkova skupina mela za ukol znicit jiny vlak u Lhotky. Prvni skupina ukol splnila, nebot znicila vlak se 2 lokomotivami a 70 vagony. Detonace trvaly plne 2 hodiny a zpusobena skoda byla odhadnuta na 70 milionu korun. Mnohem tragicteji skoncila pripravovana akce pro Smolku. Kdyz pripravoval naloz v dome sve matky z neznamych duvodu traskavina explodovala. Pri vybuchu byli usmrceni O. Smolka, jeho matka a sestra, pani Hommeova a Karel Hasa. Tezce byl zranen Smoluv pritel Frantisek Skypala, jehoz dopravili do zenskeho klastera v Choryni, v nemz byl radovymi sestrami osetrovan. Domek byl vybuchem zcela rozmetan.

K samotne kesce:
Prestoze k explozi doslo o par metru jizneji na druhe strane silnice, kudy vede trat, rozhodl jsem se umistit krabku na jinem miste. Misto exploze je dost spatne pristupne (skaly, trat, Becva) a zdalo se mi tam dost nebezpecno a neprivetivo.

Na Stage 1 najdete kamenny objekt, ktery vam prozradi dve cisla XY. A pomoci nasledujiciho vypoctu se dopocitate k souradnicim finalky:
N 49° 32.0(7+X)8, E 17 47.4(3-Y)7.

Velmi doporucuji vyuzit uvedenych parkovacich mist. Da se tam zastavit v obou smerech a jine budete hledat tezko. Na odpocivadle na kopci lze zastavit jen ve smeru od Hranic (od ValMezu zakaz odboceni) a budete muset jeste kus jit pesky.

The ammunition train

Short historical multicache

The short multicache reminds a success of antifacist resistance movement in Hranice area. A german train carrying load of ammunition was blown up. It was one of many successful sabotage activities of local partisan group. Following quotation describes the event in more detail: April 18, 1945 was a day of success as well as tragedy in anfacist resistance history. From Povazske Bystrice ammunition trains were conducted on railway line from Valasske Mezirici to Hranice. Marie Skypalova, fiancee of Oldrich Smolka from Lesna Lhotka, who worked as a signalwomen, reported when the ammunition trains passed through. The groups led by Karel Bartonek from Kladeruby and Oldrich Smolka from Lesna Lhotka were tasked to the ammunition train destructions. Both groups received larger amount of explosives for preparation of charges. Bartonka´s group should destroy ammunition train close to a gorge east of Cernotin while Smolka´s group close to Lhotka. First group accomplished the task because the train with two locomotives and 70 wagons was destroyed. Detonations took two hours and a demage caused was 70 millions of Czech crowns. The sabotage that should be performed by Smolka finished by sad tragedy. When Oldrich Smolka prepared the charges of explosives in his mother house the explosives detonated. The explosion killed O. Smolka, his mother and sister, Ms. Hommeova and Karel Hasa. Smolka´s friend Frantisek Skypala was seriously injured and was hidden in a nunnery in Choryne where nuns treated him. The house was completely destroyed.

The cache Partisans in Hranice, GC32WNY, relates with antifacist resistance as well.

To cache itself:
Although the train was blown up few meters south on the other side of the road where railroad track leads I decided to situate the cache at another place. The place of explosion is not easily accessible (rocks, tracks, Becva river) and it seems to me to be dangerous and unfriendly.

At stage 1 you will find boundary stone that reveals to you two numbers XY. Please use following final coordinates calculation: N 49° 32.0(7+X)8, E 17 47.4(3-Y)7.
