Geocache Description:

We, and the entire geocaching community, were deeply saddened to learn of the recent passing of one of our most active members, Neil Madsen-Leibold.  He and his son, Neil Jnr., were killed in a tragic accident on their way down to Cape Town on April 19, 2012.   Our sincere sympathy and heartfelt condolences go out to their family and friends during this difficult time.

For those who might not have known him, Neil was the Chairperson of GoSA, he was instrumental in the planning and realisation of the GPS in Gauteng, and he was also extremely involved in the upcoming, first ever South African MEGA Event.  MadSons was a famous hider of some very clever caches and an even more famous FTF hunter in the Centurion/Pretoria area.

Whilst this sad loss will be felt for a long time, Neil's contribution to geocaching in South Africa will also be remembered for an equally long time.  We really enjoyed going to the interesting places where he hid caches for us to find, we searched endlessly for some of his sneaky hides and felt great satisfaction when we eventually found them, and we also appreciated his well-maintained stretch of caches on the GPS.

We know that Neil would still have placed many more caches for his fellow geocachers to find, so we thought that it would be nice to place one for him.

Therefore, in this appropriately named street, here's a cache for MadSons...
