The sea was frothing and we had run afoul of some large sandbars while trying to navigate the narrow pass known as the Wild Straits. I was quaking in my boots up there in the crow's nest because I had hollered "SANDBAR OFF THE STARBOARD BOW" when it was clearly on the other side of the ship.
We were now beached, and Captain Ismo was shouting for me in a Rathaus rage. "Prepare for yer doom ye pox faced swine!" (The Cap'n really turned on the pirate for his insults.) However when I was able to lead him to a box filled with gold on the very spit of land we "accidentally" ran aground, I figured he might show me some remorse.
