Beskrivelsen i denne cache er på engelsk af hensyn til internationale rejsende

The title "I feel the need ... the need for speed" is a quote from one of my all time favourite movies featuring F-14 Tomcats and F-5 Freedom Fighters (the latter starring as MIG-28s in the movie) - you probably guessed the title already.

This series of caches is a tribute to all the airports around the world.

KASTRUP AIRPORT
Copenhagen Airport Kastrup was built back i 1925 but today it has grown to be a major airport in Europe with around 22.000 people working in or around the airport.

It consists of 3 terminals (1 thru 3) and has 3 ILS (Instrument Landing System) equipped runways:

22L/04R almost 3300 meters long, 22R/04L 3600 meters long and the shorter runway 12/30 close to 2800 meters. Runway 22L/04R was expanded in 2015 to be able to accomodate the Airbus A380
Runway 12 is used as little as possible since final approach takes the planes over Copenhagen in very low altitude.
Runway 22L is equipped with ILS-CAT III equipment which allows planes to land in zero visibility conditions.

In 2015 Kastrup Airport handled more than 26.6 million passengers while reaching almost 250,000 take-offs and landings in the same year.
