Min första egna cache. Placeringen är vald för att visa hur ett stycke skog som sett från vägkanten kan verka intetsägande kan innehålla intressant natur som man inte skulle se om man inte begav sig hit. Här kan du begrunda utsikten ut över Gunnilse, undersöka klippskrevor eller bara njuta av naturen kring dig. Är årstiden den rätta kan du hitta såväl lingon och blåbär som björnbär och hallon. Bland trädtopparna kan du höra taltrast, stjärtmes, kattuggla, gransångare m.m.
Cachen kan med fördel plockas under våren och/eller när vattennivåerna är höga. Då översvämmas området nära cachen med (grunt) vatten och det bildas ett litet vattenfall, därav namnet på cachen. Andra delar av året kan området ligga helt torrt.
Placera cachen som du fann den, mugglare rör sig i de här markerna så försök se till att den inte syns för utomstående. Var också noga med att stänga locket ordentligt på alla sidor så att vatten inte tränger in.
Är du osäker på hur du ska ta dig hit? Jag rekommenderar att du attackerar cachen genom en av följande två vägar:
1 - Ta dig till koloniområdet som ligger alldeles mittemot busshållplatsen Fjällkåpan i Rannebergen. På bägge sidor om koloniområdet finns stigar in i skogen. Dessa delar sig här och var men leder alla mer eller mindre i rätt riktning.
2 - Alternativt kan du ta dig till den branta skogsbacken i slutet av vägen som kallas Alprosen, bortanför själva Rannebergen, som leder till Gunnilse. Väljer du denna väg måste du gå över en bäck. Det finns bra klivstenar, men var försiktig i alla fall.

My first own cache. The placement was chosen in order to show how a piece of forest that looks uninteresting from the side of the road may contain interesting nature that you wouldn't see unless you went here. Here you can admire the view over Gunnilse, investigate the cliff crevices or just enjoy the nature around you. During the right season you may find lingonberry and blueberry as well as blackberry and raspberry. Among the tree tops you can hear singing thrushes, long-tailed tits, tawny owls, chiffchaffs etc.
The cache is especially suited to being looked for during spring and/or when water levels are high. At that time, the area overflows with (shallow) water and produces a small waterfall, resulting in the name of this cache ("Ranne-falls"). At other times of the year, the area may be completely dried out.
Place the cache as you found it, muggles move in this area so try to make sure the cache isn't visible. Be sure to close the lid properly as well so that water doesn't leak in.
Unsure how to get here? I recommend attacking the cache in one of the following ways:
1 - Find the allotments placed right by the bus stop Fjällkåpan in Rannebergen. On both sides of the allotments you'll find paths leading into the woods. These split here and there but all lead in more or less the right direction.
2 - Alternatively, go to the steep forest slope at the end of the road called Alprosen, beyond Rannebergen, leading to Gunnilse. If you choose this path you have to cross a stream. There are good stepping stones, but be careful all the same.
