Located in the Dodds Cemetery aka the Old Stone Schoolhouse Cemetery. A camo'd container large enough to hold items to trade. An easy find - the first geocache we've placed.
The Dodds Cemetery, also known as the Old Stone Schoolhouse Cemetery, is near the unincorporated town of Dodds, in Clearcreek Township, Warren County, Ohio. The cemetery was used from about 1835 to 1918.
At least five veterans are buried here: Eli Thorn from the War of 1812 (d. 1846), Isaac Davis from the Mexican American War (d. 1865) and Henry Benson (d.?), John Marsh (d. 1908), and Samuel Atkinson (d.?) from the Civil War.
Dodds was a stop along the Cincinnati-Lebanon-Northern railway, serving as the northern terminal point starting in 1887.
I have not yet been able to determine the significance of the "Old Stone Schoolhouse" but will continue to research in hopes of updating this post.
As with all cemetery caches, please be respectful.
Congrats to Team Cachetastrophies FTF!
