Geocache Description:

What a beautiful day for a hike! Terrain rating is a 3, because the hike up the Boundary Trail is pretty steep.

Placed this cache near the top of Coyote Peak in Santa Teresa County Park. The views from this location are absolutely breathtaking, and I know that you'll appreciate this cache. I've loaded it full of goodies and Travel Bugs. To get to Boundary Trail in the shortest amount of time, I recommend parking at or near the Archery Range on Avenida Espana, right off of Keeler Ct. The Ohlone Trail Head is at the entrance to the Archery Parking Lot. Take the Ohlone Trail for about 0.7mi. before you come up to the Ridge Trail/Coyote Peak junction. Take the Coyote Peak trail all the way up (it is an uphill hike, so brace yourselves.). Next, you'll come to a junction with two options: stay on the Coyote Peak trail, or take the Boundary Trail. The Boundary Trail is arguably the steepest trail on the park, but is very doable, and gets the blood pumping! It is also a bit longer than the Coyote Peak Trail, but the views are amazing... Well worth the hike!!! If you're a fast hiker, you can make it in about an hour and a half give or take depending on your hiking ability and pace. I recommend going all the way up to the top via the Coyote Peak Loop Trail, and taking the Boundary Trail on the way down to snag this cache. The peak is a must-see!

I hope you enjoy the cache spot. The view from the cache is absolutely marvelous, and breathtaking. Shouldn't be too difficult to find. Please be mindful of muggles, as the cache is close to the trail. And do your best to rehide the cache as completely as possible, and just as you found it. There is a logbook, and pen, so please sign it and let me know what you thought! This is my first cache, so hopefully I picked a good spot.

One more thing! Watch out for rattlesnakes, because the peak is usually crawling with them- or in this case, slithering! Please let me know if the cache needs maintenance, or has any problems and I will see to it that they are fixed. Feel free to bring trade items, but please do not take anything if you don't have something to exchange it with. Trade items about the size of your fist will fit. Please enjoy!!!

Please replace the cache EXACTLY AS YOU FOUND IT. If any problem arise, please let me know.

Original Travel Bugs: Turtle, Turtle!, and Love Bug

Enjoy, and be SAFE!

CONGRATULATIONS to: WERDAVE on the FTF! And KendraH for a speedy STF!
