How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This is a Challenge Cache. It is hidden at the above co-ordinates, but please read the whole page to check that you meet the requirements for logging this cache.

The terrain rating on this cache is not to be taken lightly. Consider what equipment you might require - ropes, helmet etc.
Cache is a small tabloc box in a camo bag - easily visible if you stand in the right place & look in the right direction.
Attempt at your own risk but please take your time & take care.

You must find 12 puzzle caches - on your picked date - before you can log this cache.

Your list of 12 puzzles must have one cache for each month, and each one must be on the same day of the month. For example you might have Jan 5th, Feb 5th, Mar 5th and so on up to Dec 5th.

You can only log a find for this cache on the correct day. So in the example above you must do this on the 5th of a month.

Your list is allowed to contain puzzles that you solved in previous years, but you must have found at least one of them after the published date of this challenge.

Each date may be claimed by anyone.

However there will still be 31 "First To Find on a particular date"s. I shall keep a list of those 31 FTFs in the table below, each of which I hope will be as cherished as a normal cache's single FTF.

Other Rules:

•Only puzzle caches are allowed (ie they must all have the "?" icon).

•Definition of Puzzle cache from Geocaching.com site: "The cache page provides a puzzle to be solved to generate coordinates for the cache. The information to proceed to solve the puzzle must be on the page."

•The difficulty of the puzzles in your list is irrelevant, all that matters is that each must have contained some puzzle component to solve. Thus the following cache-types will not be allowed:
a) Challenge caches (such as this one or the new Challenges)
b) Bonus caches (example: where you find the co-ordinates by simply collecting numbers from a series of other caches).

•Re verification you have several choices:
(a)You can setup a public bookmark list showing your 12 qualifying finds. The date you are claiming should be included in its title (e.g "I claim the 5th"). If you choose to create a bookmark list please do so at the same time you log your find.
(b)You can provide proof of your finds by providing links in your log.
(c) Simply list your 12 qualifying caches in your log: cache name & GC number & full date found.

•Since there are only eleven months which have 30 days, and seven with 31, these will be treated differently.
If you are claiming the 30th you must find caches on all 11 months plus a cache on the last day of February. You must log this cache on the 30th of a month.
If you are claiming the 31st you must find caches on the seven months with a 31st and also one on the last day of the 5 other months (i.e.31 Jan, 28/29 Feb, 31 Mar, 30 April etc.)So basically on the last day of every month. You must log this cache on the 31st of a month.

If you have any worries about whether your list of puzzles qualify you to claim a date, please contact me.

Happy Caching & puzzle solving.
