Picnic In The Park Event Cache
Jacaru & Wemnog: A great event. Thanks to all who came. 33 attended on the logs plus partners and children. A rough head count at the busiest time we got to 71. The weather was hit and miss but didn't put a dampener on things. Roll on the next one. Time to put this one to bed.

Fingers crossed for a sunny day, it all kicks off at midday and finishes around 4.00pm
July 1st, 2012, it's summertime. What better time to get together than a hot summers day where friends old and new can meet, eat and cache together.
If you have a trackable flag bring it along, see if we can get as many flags flying as we can.
An informal picnic from midday until 4.00pm. Bring your own sandwiches and drinks. If you want to bring a barbeque instead they are allowed in the park, just please make sure that you extinguish it and dispose of it afterwards. Dogs are allowed.
A word of warning though, bring something to sit on, the goose poo is legendary in these parts!
If anyone has any outdoor games that kids can join in with, boules, croquet, rounders etc. please bring them along.
For those outside of the area, Colwick Country Park has lots of free parking at three different car parks and there are plenty of caches in the area to keep you all busy.
For anyone wanting to stay over the weekend, there will be a breakfast event the day before. There are plenty of local campsites around for people wanting to camp
If we are unlucky enough to have rain, don't worry, bring an umbrella and have fun anyway.
