The North Star recently suggested that image-identification puzzles (and flower-identification ones in particular) are likely to result in few, if any, favorites points. With springtime in the air and cherry blossoms in bloom, I'm not afraid of joining the low-score club this month. Kanchan was last month's first solver; so, as a tribute to his attempts to educate us in the fine arts (A Barony Puzzle and Katsushika Hokusai come to mind), I tracked down some artists who don't qualify as Old Masters. Perhaps someday they will become Future Masters.

Special Notes about the 2012 Puzzle Challenge: To be considered for Fastest Solver points, you must verify your solution with certitude. If you have worked as a team (or otherwise shared knowledge), please email me separately, so that points can be distributed correctly. All "point" scoring is arbitrary anyway, subject to change, at the discretion of the cache owner, and probably completely meaningless (unless you just want to be announced sooner at the December banquet). The real challenge is just to see whether you can solve all of these caches by the end of the year. To maintain fairness, hints should not be offered by the cache owner or other solvers until the fifteenth of the month.
Special Notes about this month's puzzle: I had originally found a couple of better hiding spots, but they both turned out to be within 528 feet of other caches. So with the end of the month approaching, I chose a spot that I wasn't altogether happy with because it was farther from the theme than I had desired. Although the cache is technically always available, I'm recommending against night caching because of its residential location. Coordinates can be submitted in the form: N XX XX.XXX W XXX XX.XXX. The container was a gift from Rachell, an amateur artist and possible Future Master herself!
