Whenever the Steeves Memorial Scout Troop heads out for an adventure, we try to place a geocache while we're exploring. This is the 10th in a series.
Every spring, we celebrate the return of good weather with a trip to a local maple sugar camp. Pancakes, sausages, maple baked beans, maple syrup, taffy on the snow, maple butter... the kids are so wired afterwards they run most of the way home.
The cache is a 30 mL camoed Nalgene bottle hidden in the gnarly tree you see above. There are over a thousand branches on this tree. Which one holds the cache? You shouldn't need to climb to reach it.
This winter-friendly cache is hidden near the parking area for several maple sugar camps in the Stilesville area. Please bring your own pen - and an appetite.
