Quick multi-cache that is easy to work out for all the family. This geocache is part of a series of geocaches in Saint James. Find a the clue in the logbook to find the Bonus.
Les coordonnées ci-dessus ne sont pas celles de la géocache mais celles du parking.
Les moulins à foulon et les teintureries ont peu à peu disparu. Les filatures et le fameux chandail marin les ont remplacés et font la réputation des célèbres Tricots Saint-James, implantés sur la commune depuis 1850.
La famille Legallais commence à filer et teindre la laine. Celle-ci est alors revendue, sous forme d'écheveaux et de pelotes de laine, aux merceries de Bretagne et de Normandie, puis de sous-vêtements: de véritables chemises de laine qui donneront naissance au chandail des marins pêcheurs.
Léon Legallais a transformé un atelier en véritable industrie.
Julien Bonte reprend l'entreprise et abandonne l'activité traditionnelle pour la recentrer sur la fabrication de pulls, cardigans, dont le fameux "Vrai Chandail Marin Breton", tricoté en pure laine. Bernard Bonte a succédé à son père à la tête de l’entreprise.
Adaptant sa raison sociale à l'évolution de son activité, l'entreprise prend sa dénomination actuelle "TRICOTS SAINT-JAMES"

The coordinates above are not for the geocache, they are the coordinates for the car park.
The “fulling” mills and dyeing plants have gradually disappeared. Textile mills and the famous marine sweaters have replaced them and built the reputation of the famous Saint James knitwear, established in the town since 1850.
The Legallais family first began to spin and dye wool which was then sold, first as hanks and skeins of wool to the haberdashers of Brittany and Normandy, then as underwear: genuine wool shirts that would give rise to fishermen’s sweaters.
Leon LEGALLAIS transformed a workshop into a true industry.
Julien BONTE subsequently took over the company and abandoned the traditional business to focus on the manufacture of sweaters, cardigans, etc, including the famous "Genuine Breton Sailor’s sweater" knitted in Pure Wool. Bernard BONTE took over from his Father as head of the company.
Adapting its name to the evolution of its business, the company changed to its current name "TRICOTS ST JAMES".
