The trailhead is inside Tucker's Grove Park, at the Kiwanis Meadows. No fee to enter the park, but it does close at dusk. The cache itself is in an ammo container. (Please try to hide it as well or better than you found it -- this is a well-traveled area.) We tried to pick a spot where there wasn't any poison oak, but be careful, there's quite a lot in the area. Good Luck!
NOTE: When we originally placed this cache there wasn't any poison oak growing around the cache site. But poison oak has been recently report in the area, so please prepare accordingly. Beyond the dam the trail will lead, don't let the waters trouble you. You'll know you're getting close indeed, if you spot a rusted old car
This cache was heavily damaged in the Jesusita Fire in May 2009. The area has recovered, and the cache has been replaced and reactivated in March 2010. The original ammo can has been refurbished and rehidden. The cache location has been moved very slightly to a more fireproof hiding spot, Same Coordinates.
2021 update: yet another wildfire went though here last year, and heavy rains caused a mudflow through here. I searched for the original container several times, but I finally gave up and put out another ammo can.
